The Honorable Jeem S. Lippwe Officially Sworn-In to Continue Serving as Deputy Permanent Representative of the Federated States of Micronesia’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York

NEW YORK—On September 27th 2019, on the margins of the 74th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), His Excellency David W. Panuelo, President of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), conducted the oath of office ceremony to formally swear-in the Honorable Jeem S. Lippwe to continue serving as the Deputy Permanent Representative (DPR) of the FSM’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations.

“Do you, Jeem S. Lippwe, solemnly swear that you will faithfully execute the duties and responsibilities of the office to which you have been appointed, and will, to the best of your ability, uphold, promote, and support the laws and Constitution of the Federated States of Micronesia, so help you God?” said President Panuelo.

“I do,” said DPR Lippwe.

After a toast commemorating the event, DPR Lippwe took the opportunity share a few words. “I am humbly honored to be given this opportunity, Mr. President, to serve in your administration. I thank you so much to be part of this new administration and to serve you, to serve our people, and to serve our government, which I will to my fullest ability. Thank you, colleagues….”

“Cheers to success in the FSM,” said President Panuelo in his remarks. “Cheers to you, Jeem, and the Mission—all of you for the work that we will continue to do. Our actions today is our Nation’s prosperity tomorrow.”
