President Panuelo Swears-In Teresa Filepin as Consul General in Guam
HAGATNA, Guam—On October 25th, 2019 His Excellency David W. Panuelo, President of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), conducted the oath of office ceremony for the Honorable Teresa Filepin, Consul General of the FSM based in the U.S. Territory of Guam.
“Do you, Teresa Filepin, solemnly swear that you will faithfully execute the duties and responsibilities of the office to which you have been appointed, and will, to the best of your ability, uphold, promote, and support the laws and Constitution of the Federated States of Micronesia, so help you God?” said President Panuelo.
“I do,” said Consul General Filepin.
“I demand hard work by our officials for our citizens—and Teresa, I thank you for all the hard working you’re doing,” President Panuelo said in his remarks.
“Thank you, Mr. President…it’s a real honor and privilege, and thank you for your trust and your support in believing in me to be a part of your team to serve the citizens of the FSM. …We have a good team [here in Guam], and among the circle in this room are members of that team who have been very instrumental in making things work positively for our citizens.”
