FSM Convenes First Executive Meeting of 2026 to Align National Priorities

PALIKIR, Pohnpei – January 10, 2026 – As the Government of the Federated States of Micronesia enters the new year, the Office of the President convened its first Executive Meeting of 2026, bringing together Cabinet members and key staff to align national priorities and set a coordinated agenda to guide governance and development for the year ahead.

Key discussions focused on legislative readiness, infrastructure progress, budget planning, expanded postal services to the outer islands, and strengthening international partnerships. The meeting also addressed the Chuuk oil spill response, workforce issues, and preparations for upcoming regional and global engagements.
