Pohnpei is one of the four states of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), a country located in the western Pacific Ocean. The Pohnpei State Government is the governing body responsible for managing the affairs of the Pohnpei State.
The capital of Pohnpei is Kolonia, which is also the largest town in the state. Pohnpei is famous for its archaeological sites, including the ancient city of Nan Madol, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The state’s economy relies on agriculture, fishing, tourism, and financial assistance from the Federated States of Micronesia national government and international partners.
