Chuuk, FSM, January 30, 2026— His Excellency Wesley W. Simina, President of the Federated States of Micronesia, met today with President of the Republic of Palau, His Excellency Surangel S. Whipps Jr., during President Whipps’ stopover in Chuuk earlier today.

The two leaders exchanged views on mutual priorities and key issues affecting Micronesia. Discussions focused on advancing shared interests and strengthening cooperation through upcoming regional and sub-regional engagements.

The two leaders agreed to continue their in-person discussions at an upcoming high-level Pacific meeting next month.
