HONOLULU, Hawai‘i — February 25, 2026 — His Excellency Wesley W. Simina, President of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Scott Moris, Vice President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Ms. Emma Veve, Director General of Pacific Department, to discuss ongoing areas of cooperation and reaffirm the value of the partnership between the FSM and ADB.
During the meeting, President Simina expressed his sincere appreciation for ADB’s continued partnership and support in advancing FSM’s national development priorities. He acknowledged ADB’s contributions to key sectors, particularly in education and health, as well as its support for ongoing infrastructure and institutional strengthening projects across the nation.
Both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining close collaboration and sustaining momentum in priority sectors. Discussions included a review of challenges related to blended financing arrangements and practical approaches to advancing project funding.
The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of FSM and ADB to continued collaboration in advancing sustainable development outcomes for the people of the Federated States of Micronesia.
