FSM & Pohnpei State Government Receive President of Nauru in celebration of Nauru Airlines Inaugural Flight to Palau

Kolonia, Pohnpei, December 1, 2023 – Nauru Airlines’ inaugural flight to Palau landed in Pohnpei today, with H.E. David Adeang, President of Nauru aboard, marking his first visit to the FSM since his election in October. To celebrate the occasion of the inaugural flight, H.E. President Wesley W. Simina, T.H. Vice President Aren B. Palik and the T.H. Governor Reed Oliver, among others, received President Adeang and his delegation at the airport, where a short program, including a sakau ceremony was held.

 An FSM delegation led by Vice President Palik and including T.H. Senator Peter Christian joined the inaugural flight from Pohnpei onward to Palau, where the celebrations will continue. The FSM government congratulates the government of Nauru, Nauru Airlines and their partners on reaching this important milestone to increase connectivity between our islands.
