President Simina Pays Final Respects at State Funeral of Former RMI President H.E. David Kabua

PALIKIR, Pohnpei — April 24, 2026 — His Excellency Wesley W. Simina, President of the Federated States of Micronesia, traveled to Majuro to attend the state funeral of the late former President of the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI), H.E. David Kabua.

President Simina joined dignitaries and the Marshallese people in paying final respects to the late President Kabua, honoring his legacy of service to the Republic of the Marshall Islands and the broader Pacific region.

In reflecting on the occasion, President Simina stated, “President Kabua was a dedicated leader and a valued colleague whose commitment to his people and to regional unity will be long remembered. I extend my deepest condolences to his family, the Government, and the people of the Marshall Islands during this time of mourning.”
